A Love Letter To My Bike

Having a bike is the SHIT. While I'll admit that I was not the one who came up with the idea to bring a bike to campus (my dad gets credit for that one), the love and devotion that has developed betwixt the two of us is something that only other bike users would understand. And while I may sound dramatic, let me lay out the reasons why having a bike is the best.

  • They're so convenient

There are bike racks nearly everywhere you go. And for the places that don't have them, simply lock up your bike on the nearest tall, thin object you see. A pole, a sign, a skinny white boy... easy!

  • You get to wear a sexy helmet

You can buy a helmet that matches your *spunky* personality. Take note:

Look at this masterpiece. I bet she's getting laid wearing that helmet tonight...

If this isn't sex appeal, I don't know what is...

Nothing's hotter than a DIY (safety first though, don't do this pls).

  • You get everywhere faster

Okay, this is seriously the best. I live in West Andrews, and I can get to the main green in 2 MINUTES. TBH this might make me late more often because I think I'm faster than I actually am and consistently leave for my 11:00 a.m. at 10:59 BUT STILL. I am not as late as I would have been!

  • You get to pass by all the pedestrians as you zoom down the hill

Hehe. Losers.

  • It's a good form of exercise

Arguably, walking everywhere is too. But think about those trips to Jo's. How tempted are you to skip the walk and just wait for the shuttle? BUT NO MORE! BIKE TO THE RESCUE.(OKAY fine... there have been times when laziness has peaked and I have brought my bike with me back from Jo's on the shuttle...shoutout to all the shuttle drivers who have had to stop the bus and lower the bike rack on the front of the bus for me, peace be with you.)If I haven't convinced you to get a bike, that's perfectly fine. More bike rack space for me, bitch. Images viavia, via, and via
