Drinking games you can play on Zoom

Did you turn 21 over quarantine? Have you had nothing to do except awkward Zoom calls with your friends in which you have nothing to talk about (because nothing is happening)? Look no further! Here are some fun games you can play on Zoom, with or without alcohol involved.

  1. The Official Brown University Drinking Game. It's on Quizlet. It is amazing. One player pulls it up and shares their screen, and everyone can play!
  2. PsyCat Games. This website has a number of fun games including Never Have I Ever, Truth or Dare, and Would You Rather. There are multiple levels, from "Hot" to "Teens", so you can pick the vibe. They also have multiple languages, so you can practice for your language class by learning bad words! Pull up a game and share your screen for a fun time.
  3. Picolo. This app does all the work for you. Input your friends' names and voila! It will tell you what to do. This app has a lot of in-person activities, unfortunately, but you can skip those and still get a lot of fun out of it. For prompts that require you to go in order (categories, for example), I recommend changing your names on Zoom to numbers (1, 2, 3, 4, etc) so that the order is easy to remember. Pro tip: while using Zoom on your laptop, join the call from your phone and share your phone screen to let everyone see the prompts at the same time. Just remember to turn on Do Not Disturb lest everyone sees your texts, too!
  4. Bingo. If you always Zoom with the same group of people, make a Bingo card for each person and fill it with things they commonly do or mention. Send a copy to each person in the group, and during the call, mark off squares as they happen. If you get a line, that person has to finish their drink or take a shot.

Have fun!
