Everything We Need to Do Right Now Before It's Winter
Listen, everyone, the North East does NOT mess around. Any day now, we are going to be plunged into a six-month hell of winter that, simply put, will feel endless. There is no way around this immense obstacle unless we drop out which, honestly, is looking like a pretty decent option. However, if we are going to tough it out, it is of the utmost importance that we get all of our 'warm' and 'fun' activities out of the way before we are forced to only exist in our dorms and coat check lines. So, here's a list of everything we need to be doing right now since winter could strike at any moment.
- Wear Shorts: Yah, it might be cold already, but just you wait until it's REALLY cold. Then, you'll be deeply remorseful for every 60-degree day where you thought it was too ~chilly~ for shorts.
- Sit on the Main Green: It may be windy, but is it snowing? No, it is not snowing yet. Yet being the keyword here. So, go sit your butt in a pile of leaves before its a pile of frozen leaves.
- Go on walks: Lowkey, walks are always a good idea. However, walks are better when you can feel your fingers and toes. Check out downtown before the thought of leaving your dorm room terrifies you even more than it already does!
- Treat yourself to a Ratty picnic: There's nothing like eating bad food outdoors instead of indoors! Give it a go before all meals must be taken underneath the weird suspended disks in the ratty.
- Be appreciative of it still being light out after your 3pm-5:30pm class: Okay, this one may already be false, but at least it's still light out after your 2:00-4:30 class ending?
- Perform a sacrifice to the gods of Summer, just in case that'll change seasons: literally, at this point, anything is worth a try.
- Research if there's a way for global warming to not be so bad but also make winters less cold: I repeat, literally, at this point, anything is worth a try.
- Give up and accept your chilly fate: When there's nothing else to try, we may as well just surrender to winter. It'll hurt, and it'll suck, but on the other side, maybe there will be something hopeful like...Spring?
Well, there you have it! Hope this list guides you on everything you need to be simultaneously doing every day over 60 degrees because, really, we never know when the last one will disappear forever.
