The reality of Spring Break, as seen through cartoons

Every year when Spring Break rolls around, students at Brown get excited about their wonderful, Instagram-worthy plans that often involve palm trees, tan lines, and cumulative hours spent fending off excessively confident club promoters. However, for some of us, Spring Break proved slightly less glamorous. Below you'll find some images reflecting the reality of those of us in the latter category as we struggled with the concept of a non-Spring-Break-y Spring Break.  Trying to make it feel like Spring through the sheer power of your outfit. Getting excited about going home to the California sunshine and then remembering that you live in Northern California.  Getting excited about all the things you're going to do with your free time then immediately losing all motivation when you see your bed. Desperately trying to avoid people from high school that you really don't want to deal with. And finally the moment when you realize that break is over and people are going to ask you what you did and your answer is absolutely nothing. But you wouldn't have it any other way.Not that you'd have it any other way.  Images via and via Hanna Rashidi '21.
