Monday, March 5Event: We Still Live Here: movie screening with pizzaLocation: Salomon 001Time: 6:00-7:45 p.m.We Still Live Here - Âs Nutayuneân will be screened in Salomon 001 by the Linguistics, Ethnic Studies, and Anthropology DUGs. The movie will last from 6:00 p.m. to 7:45 p.m. and will be followed by a discussion. Flatbread PIZZA and POPCORN will be provided! The movie tells the story of the revitalization of the Wampanoag language, the first time a language with no native speakers has been revived in this country. The Wampanoag´s ancestors ensured the survival of the Pilgrims in New England, and lived to regret it. Nevertheless, through resilience and courage, they kept their identity alive and remained on their ancestral lands. Now, a cultural revival is taking place.
