What to do this February Break
February break is finally just around the corner, and you're so close to being free! All you have is three papers, two midterms, and one presentation due the Wednesday classes start up again. So, if you're wondering how you should spend the four-day weekend, Blog has you covered. Read on for our top five plans for the long weekend.
- Go skiing in Vermont with friends
This one's a classic. Grab that friend you haven't hung out with in a while who always brags about their family's cabin and get ready for the least original of all February break plans. Sure, none of you guys are good enough to compete in the Winter Olympics, but you're certainly capable of hitting the slopes for a day or two -- especially if avoiding work is involved.
- Visit your old friend in New York
If you don't have a friend in New York that you've been meaning to visit, do you even go to Brown? Chances are, you haven't seen Margaret since she graduated last May, and you've been dying to catch up/use her as an excuse to take advantage of all New York has to offer. Sure, you might be disappointed with the lack of multiple Baja's on one street, but the Big Apple has its own charms, too.
- Visit your old friend in Chicago
You haven't seen Dave in forever, either! So why not visit him in Chicago? Again, there may not be two Den Den's within walking distance of each other, but I hear the Windy City's got some things going for it.
- Go home
It's okay, you can admit it to yourself: Providence has you beat. You're done with fruitlessly searching for a seat in the Zero Decibels section of the SciLi. You can't handle the magnitude of the line at the Ivy Room at 8 p.m. And those walks from Pembroke to Barus and Holley for your 9 a.m. have left you with nothing. This long weekend, you should retreat home to gather your strength for the rest of the spring semester. Soon, you'll be jogging from Keeney to Andrews just for fun!
- Stay at Brown, live in the Rock for four days, and finish all of your work
While we're not expecting you to get excited about this plan, we felt it was our duty to remind you that it's ~always~ an option!
