Congrats to all accepted Early Decision applicants!!!

From everyone at Blog, congratulations and WELCOME TO BROWN, CLASS OF 2021!!!!!Wow. 2021. I feel ancient.Anyways, I remember that day Early Decision came out so clearly. It was full of tears, screaming, and pure exhilaration. When you see the words "Congratulations!" everything stands still. Is this a dream? It's not!! You're in! And you so deserve to be here.Here are some stats on Brown's accepted Early Decision applicants:

• 695 early decision applicants will become members of the Class of 2021.
• The applicant pool for early decision was 3, 170, the largest ED group since Brown adopted this program 15 years ago
• 53% of students applied to receive financial aid; all students have been admitted under Brown's need-blind admission policy.
• The accepted pool comes from 41 states and 39 nations. Outside of the US, the top nations represented are Canada, the UK, China, India, and Singapore.
• 13% of accepted students are FirstGen.
• 36% are students of color.
• Of the ED accepted students, 411 are female and 284 are male.
