Let's show out for what we know is right.Event: WaterFire Salute to VeteransLocation: WaterfireTime: 3:30 p.m.On Saturday, November 5, 2016, the VA will host a Veterans Resource Fair as part of the 4th annual Providence WaterFire Salute to Veterans.The fair will begin at 3:30 p.m. at the center of the WaterFire installation on the Washington Street Bridge in downtown Providence, RI. The event will provide informational resources on available healthcare and benefits for our nation's heroes.VA Healthcare enrollment specialists, healthcare professionals, and VA program experts will be available to answer questions and assist veterans with healthcare benefits registration. Additionally, representatives from the VA Benefits Administration and National Cemetery Administration will be present to offer advice and educational information regarding veteran benefits and burial benefits. A number of local veteran-based non-profits will also be represented.The Salute to Veterans will begin at the State House at 2 p.m.The WaterFire lighting will commence at 4:30 p.m. with a 150 Veteran torch procession. Immediately after sunset at 4:54 p.m., veterans will proceed into the basin to join their brothers and sisters in arms, surrounding the basin in a ring of fire ceremony with a presentation of the colors as the National Anthem is played. A patriotic music lineup will follow, with performances by several military and patriotic bands.
