7 unusual shot glass functions
At the beginning of frosh week, every freshman received a blue plastic cup from BWell Health Promotion to facilitate safe drinking. But for some of us, it has been forlornly collecting dust as a dorm ornament for a couple of months now. That’s totally okay, because we don’t need to drink to have fun! So what else can we use this useless plastic speciman for? Here’s 7 other cool things to do with your drinking cups instead of, well, drink from them:
- Use it as a laundry measuring cup
One shot glass of laundry detergent is exactly equivalent to one load of laundry. Trust me, I’ve measured it. If you’re sick of trying to eyeball the right amount, use a shot glass and save your life.
- Collect 12 and become a speed stacking master
Speed Stacking is a totally cool sport with cups. It is literally what its name implies: stacking cups speedily. I’ve never played it, but I’m betting that it’ll make a neat party trick.
- Halloween costume: Literally just strap it to your head and tada! A safe, non-cultural appropriating aesthetic
Because we all go through days where we wish we had a bucket on our head to block out the realities of life. This cup might be a bit too small though – either get a smaller head, or get a bigger cup.
- Plant a cactus
First you stick in soil, then you stick in cacti. Gardening pro-tip: water it sparingly.
- Beer pong with water!
Appreciate the hype of the game while avoiding mental disorientation! Awesome! It’s probably best to avoid using the same cup directly after laundry, however.
- Trick or treating tote bag
Caaaaandy!
- Fling it off the top of the Scili in celebratory fashion.
Just let it out, man. Just let it out.
