Vicki Ruiz is Distinguished Professor of History and Chicano/Latino Studies and Chair of the Department of Chicano/Latino Studies at the University of California, Irvine. She will be speaking about Capetillo and other Latina women of historical significance. This event is free and open to the public with a reception to follow.

Omar Offendum mixes poetry with hip-hop in songs about Damascus and others about being Arab in America.
