Before the new Kanye album drops
Kanye West's latest album drops in the very near future, and it's a big fucking deal. (Just ask Kanye.) There have been leaks. There have been name changes. There have been Twitter feuds. In short, it's a lot to handle. Here's a breakdown of everything we know about this elusive album as of now:A chronology of the album's potential titles

The final track list includes an addition, "Freestyle 4", as well as some cuts, including the well-received G.O.O.D. Friday Kendrick collab, "No More Parties in LA."CollaborationsTy Dolla $ign and Post Malone join Kanye on "Fade," which has already been leaked. Ty Dolla $ign also contributes to Act Three's "Real Friends."Kendrick Lamar collaborates on "No More Parties in LA."Sia and Vic Mensa are featured on "Wolves." Kanye and Chicago rapper Vic Mensa previously worked together on the very popular "U Mad." "Wolves" was actually already performed at the SNL 40th (along with "Jesus Walks" and "Only One"), and seems to harken back to earlier, Love Lockdown-era Kanye, with its haunting melody and lyrics.FeudOver January 26 and January 27, Kanye engaged in a very confusing Twitter feud with Wiz Khalifa. Here's a brief breakdown of what happened:
- In light of the announcement of Waves as the album's title, Wiz Khalifa had the temerity to question whether Kanye's newest release would be co-opting the "wavy movement" in hip hop, largely accredited to Max B.
- In response, Kanye tweeted: "All respect to Andre Harrell and Max B" (pioneers of "the wave").
- Wiz responded with a brusque "yea aight."
- Wiz then tweeted "hit this kk and become yourself" the following morning.
- Kanye went OFF. Thinking "kk" stood for Kim Kardashian, he rapid-fire posted some very aggressive tweets, (virtually) coming at Wiz at least 17 times in a very targeted twitter rant that can be found on the Billboard website.
- "kk," it turns out, stands for Khalifa Kush. Not Kim Kardashian. So, Khalifa then notified Kanye via Twitter.
- Kanye decided that he "loved Wiz and...all [his] brothers and all people." Furthermore, he said that all he wanted was positive energy.
How great will the new album be?Pretty great, according to Kanye.
- On January 24, Kanye tweeted a picture of a rough track-list, captioned: "So happy to be done with the greatest album of all time."
- On January 26, Kanye followed up with a tweet describing it as "not album of the year," but "album of the life."
- On February 2, Kanye redacted a statement that his album would be the greatest of all time, "out of respect for Q-Tip, Puff, Hov, Lauren, Pharcyde, Mary, Stevie, Michael, Hendrix, James, Pete Rock, Pac, Marvin."
- On February 2, Kanye clarified that the new album would instead be "ONE of the greatest albums."
