Should you hook up with a senior?

Hey Brunonia,As someone who will indeed be at Brown in the fall, I take pause in the prospect of hooking up with a senior at this point in the semester. The vast majority of seniors leave PVD after Commencement Day, going off to grace the rest of the world with their lovely selves (we'll miss you, 2016). And as my pseudonym might imply, hooking up with someone I will almost certainly never see again doesn't sit too well with me. However, lots of my friends, who are mostly freshmen like me, think that getting with a senior when there are only a few weeks left of school is a win-win: no strings attached sex without the possibility of future awkward run-ins.For those freshmen, sophomores, and juniors who need convincing one way or another on this topic, here is a handy-dandy pros and cons list for hooking up with a senior right now:Pro: It's as low-commitment as it could be.He or she is leaving Brown in a couple of weeks and, since you're both fully aware of that fact going into it, it's unspoken and assumed that nothing further will come of this hookup. Which is nice. Simple. Straightforward. Easy. Con: It's just a lot of effort to hook up with anyone during finals.Maybe it's just me, but ugh... I'm sooOoOoOOOoo lazy during finals. I was just up for 35 hours straight studying and you want me to go out, meet a senior, and try to take him home tonight? Just: Pro: If you've had a flirtatious thing going with them for a while, this is your last chance.A friend of mine recently had (and took) the opportunity to hook up with a senior BuDS cashier she had been flirting with for months while he was swiping her out at ACo. After a semester of building sexual tension, I'm sure it was great.  Pro/Con: You don't really have time to get to know them before they leave.This is either a pro or a con, depending on what you're looking for out of hookups. If you're just in it for the fun, it's a big pro. If you're in it for the long haul, well, there ain't gonna be a long haul with a graduating senior... Pro: Fomo's a bitch and literally yolo.Yolo & no fomo, baby. New motto? (Ahahaha, I am THE worst for even typing that.) Con: If you're a feelings-oriented person like me, hooking up with a senior might just seem like a waste of time and effort.Can't stress this enough: they're leaving very, very soon. Pro: You never have to see them again if it is bad.Awkward eye contact in the Blue Room after some mediocre sex? Not if you have it with a graduating senior. Accidentally running into that rando you DFMO-ed at Campus Dance in the Mail Room next fall? Not if he or she is a graduating senior. Embarrassed because you made an ass of yourself in the pursuit of hooking up with someone? Not if that someone was a graduating senior. You get my point.

Con: You never get to see them again if it is good.God forbid that hookup is MIND-BLOWING and you don't have the opportunity to do it again in the fall, because your senior of choice has since moved to Oregon or London or Far Far Away!! How disappointing!Pro: They're older and therefore (hopefully) wiser (sexually).Don't we all have a secret thing for people who are just a little bit older than us? They seem so sexy and mature and mysterious even though they are probably just as clueless about life as we are So what about you? Do the cons outweigh the pros?
