Spring Weekend reminders

Happy Spring Weekend, Brunonians! While modeling your various tanks and listening to "Trap Queen" on repeat, please do not forget your safety and well-being. Here are some quick reminders for staying safe this weekend (from a member of the Students for Sensible Drug Policy organization):General Safety Tips:

  • Buddy System: stay with or be in contact with a friend, and tell them about any potential substances you have taken and how much. Communicate if you are not feeling well or if you need a break. Take care of people around you, checking in and taking a break with them if necessary.
  • Take a Break: frequently check in with how you're doing. Cool down and hydrate
  • Sleep, eat, hydrate.
  • Respect people's boundaries at concerts. Practice consent and other safe sex practices.

Safer Substance Use:

  • Dosage and Source: if you’re going to do substances, please be informed. Research what is a safe dose.
  • Drug Interactions: mixing drugs may multiply effects, so do research. Also, research interactions with any medication you take.
